5. Admin Settings Page

The admin settings page allows system administrators to configure the Projects Insight Edge app to suit the specific needs of their Jira instance. The settings are organized into four distinct tabs, each providing control over different aspects of the app's functionality.

1. Access Settings

  • Purpose: Define who can access and use the app.

  • Configuration: Set access permissions by group or individual user. If access needs to be restricted, specify the users or groups allowed to use the app.

2. Statistics Settings

  • Purpose: Customize the thresholds and weighting for project metrics.

  • Configuration:

    • Define thresholds for low, medium, and high values for various metrics displayed on the analysis dashboard.

    • Adjust the importance of each metric by setting the weighting for the PIE score calculation. This allows customization based on the specific priorities and characteristics of your Jira instance.

3. Project Settings

  • Purpose: Specify which issue types are considered quality issues.

  • Configuration: Define quality issues globally for the entire instance or customize them per project. This flexibility ensures that the app aligns with your organization's definition of quality issues.

4. Scheduled Analysis Settings

  • Purpose: Automate regular analyses to track project performance over time.

  • Configuration:

    • Enable scheduled analyses to run at regular intervals, saving the results within the app.

    • Set the interval for these analyses to either daily or weekly, ensuring consistent monitoring and historical data collection.
